Art O’Hara: A life of service

Art O’Hara, July 12, 1951 – June 25, 2019

ST. PETERSBURG — Art O’Hara, executive director of R’Club Child Care, Inc. and Louise Graham Regeneration Center passed away on June 25, 2019. Art was a lifelong resident of St. Petersburg and proud graduate of St. Petersburg High School, the University of South Florida and Florida State University.

In his 19 years as executive director of R’Club, Art touched the hearts and impacted the lives of many children, youth, and families in the communities he served.  During the 12 years that Art led the Louise Graham Regeneration Center, he was a strong advocate for the differently abled adults that attended the many programs offered there. He will be deeply missed by so many.

Art will be remembered and celebrated by his many friends on Saturday, July 27 at 2 p.m. at Greater Mt. Zion AME Church, located at 1045 16th St. S in St. Petersburg.

It was Art’s mission to provide children, youth and differently abled adults with high quality programs that support success in school and in life.
