A Buffalo Bills player was left with a bloody head injury after his helmet was knocked off during the game and he was violently slammed to the ground.

Buffalo Bills running back Taiwan Jones, 30, suffered a bloody injury to the forehead after his helmet was knocked off and he was slammed to the ground during Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers

Running back Taiwan Jones, 30, lost his helmet as he tried to recover Marcus Murphy’s fumbled punt, but after securing the ball he was bombarded by the Charger’s defense.

The incident took place on Sunday during the third quarter of the Buffalo Bills game versus the Los Angeles Chargers at New Era Field in Orchard, New York.

After he received the ball, the Chargers piled onto him and a player headbutted him, knocking off Jones’ helmet.
