Free summer food program for children

ST. PETERSBURG — City of St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation sponsors the Summer Food Service Program for children at recreation playcamps during the months of June, July and August. Nutritionally balanced meals are provided to all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability during summer vacation when school breakfasts and lunches are not available.

All children 18 years old and younger are eligible for breakfast and/or lunch at no charge and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

The following are participating sites with breakfast and lunch service now through August 16:

  • Campbell Park Center, 601 14th St. S. from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. and noon – 1:30 p.m.
  • Childs Park Center, 4301 13th Ave. S. from 8 – 9:30 a.m. and noon – 2 p.m.
  • Frank Pierce Center, 2000 7th St. S. from 8:15 – 9:30 a.m. and noon – 2 p.m.
  • Gladden Park Center, 3901 30th Ave. N. from 8 – 9:30 a.m. and 11:45 – 2 p.m.
  • J.W. Cate Center, 5801 22nd Ave. N. from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. and noon – 2 p.m.
  • Lake Vista Center, 1401 62nd Ave. S. from 8 – 9:30 and 11:30 – 2 p.m.
  • Roberts Center, 1246 50th Ave. N. from 8 – 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 – 1:30 p.m.
  • Shore Acres Center, 4230 Shore Acres Blvd. NE from 8 – 9:30 a.m. and noon – 1 p.m.
  • Walter Fuller Center, 7891 26th Ave. N. from 8 – 9:30 and noon – 12:45 p.m.
  • Wildwood Center, 1000 28th St. S. from 8 – 9:30 a.m. and noon – 1:30 p.m.
  • Willis Johns Center, 6635 Dr. M. L. King Jr. St. N. from 8:15 – 9:30 a.m. and noon – 1:30 p.m.
  • Camp Redbird at Azalea Elem., 1680 74th St. N. from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. and noon – 1 p.m.
  • TASCO Building 1320 5th St. N. from 8 – 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 – 1:30
  • Boyd Hill Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S. (lunch site only) noon – 1 p.m.
