Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. admits he’s been receiving IVs for cramping issues

Odell Beckham Jr. raised eyebrows during last week’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles when he went to the locker room before halftime while the New York Giants’ offense was still on the field. As it turned out, Beckham was receiving an IV for the second time in two weeks, and on Friday, the All Pro wide receiver may have revealed the underlying problem: He hates water.

‘I’ve always cramped,’ he told reporters at the Giants facility on Friday. ‘I really don’t like water. I’m trying, [but] I really just don’t like it.

‘You get that stomach feeling, like it’s all slushy,’ the 25-year-old continued. ‘I’m trying to stay hydrated but sometimes I got to get an IV, it’s necessary. You’re cramping in both calves, it’s hard to run and make cuts. If you’re cramping and dehydrated you’re susceptible to something else, so I try to stay on top of it the best that I can.’
