The teen who was snatched at birth and raised by an impostor has said that she accepts her kidnapper’s 18-year prison sentence, after her biological mom blasted the punishment as insufficient.

Gloria Williams, 52, was sentenced to 18 years in prison after she kidnapped a newborn baby girl and raised her as her own

Nineteen-year-old Kamiyah Mobley, who was kidnapped from a Jacksonville, Florida hospital in 1998, spoke out on Friday in a statement through her attorney after the sentencing of Gloria Williams.

‘Today was a very difficult day for Kamiyah. We made the decision to not attend the sentencing, but we anticipated the result,’ attorney Justin Bamberg said in the statement.

‘Kamiyah is now processing what it means for the woman she’s known as mother to receive an 18-year prison sentence. However, she understands Gloria had to be held accountable for her actions.’

‘She also understands that her biological parents have the absolute right to view today as a joyous day,’ the statement continued.
