Goodwill employment workshops

ST. PETERSBURG – Goodwill Job Connection is offering regular employment workshops on the second and fourth Mondays of every month at 3 p.m. at the St. Petersburg Main Library, 3745 Ninth Ave. N. Call (727) 893-7724 to reserve a seat. The workshops are free and open to the public. Topics and workshop dates for August and September:

Job Seeking Techniques: Monday, Aug. 22 at 3 p.m. Learn about the hidden job market and explore ways to find those job openings that are rarely posted.

Overcoming Barriers: Monday, Sept. 12 at 3 p.m.  Learn how to overcome barriers of a criminal history when seeking employment.

Resume Development Class: Monday, Sept. 26 at 3 p.m. Learn how to create your own resume. 3-4 p.m. class; 4-5 p.m. open resume lab for personalized help.

The St. Petersburg Library System is pleased to offer this service in partnership with Goodwill Job Connection, and as a part of its Community Development Initiative, a method to enhance the provision of resources, services, and programs focused on the Education, Economy, Ecology, Equity, Efficiency and Engagement of our community.
