Jilted prison guard shot dead bus driver after he dumped her, then shot self in head By ASSOCIATED PRESS A female prison guard gunned down her New Jersey Transit bus driver boyfriend after he dumped her, before turning the gun on herself. Ryon Reynolds, 45, of Sicklerville, was fatally shot by his ex-girlfriend Piacenta Jackson, of Woodbury, as he arrived at the NJ Transit garage in Washington Township on Tuesday afternoon. Jackson, 44, then fled the scene in her car with the police in pursuit. Witnesses say that cops caught up with her in Mantua Township and surrounded her, blocking in her car. At that point she turned the gun on herself, ABC News reports. Autopsies showed Jackson died of a gunshot to the head while Reynolds died from a gunshot wound to the back. ‘They were coming in both directions and they blocked (her car) in,’ Mantua resident Jeff Gellenthin told the NJ.com. ’I heard one pop … and the door was open and (the police) all gathered around.’ The victim’s aunt, Rose Reynolds, said the family were still reeling from the news of his death. ‘I still can’t believe it,’ she said. ‘I can’t get it in my head yet. Ryon was the best. Everybody loved him.’ She explained that Reynolds and Jackson had been dating but he had recently chosen to end their relationship. ‘She went to his job and killed him,’ she said. Rose Reynolds described her nephew as a ‘great guy’ and a former high school football star. ‘He worked so hard for so many years,’ she said. A colleague of Reynolds, Rick Bucci, added that the victim was a ‘good man with a crazy girlfriend.’ Authorities are continuing to investigate the shooting. Jackson, who worked for the Department of Corrections for 14 years, was a corrections officer at Southern State Correctional Facility. DailyMail.com has reached out to NJ Transit for comment.
