Police in Georgia are hunting for a convicted felon who is accused of shooting to death the mother of his children this weekend.
Marietta police said in a Facebook post that officers responded to the cul-de-sac of Pin Oak Court after receiving multiple reports of gunshots at around 4pm Sunday.
Upon arrival, police found 34-year-old Felicia Miller in a parked white 2007 Dodge Charger in her driveway with multiple gunshot wounds.
Miller was rushed to Kennestone Hospital, where she succumbed to her wounds.
Witnesses identified the shooter as 40-year-old Justin Cox, who is believed to be armed with a handgun.
A warrant for his arrest charges him with murder, possession of a firearm during a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Miller is the mother of five young children, three of whom were fathered by Cox.
The victim’s relatives said as soon as she pulled into the driveway, Cox approached the driver’s side of her vehicle and fired on her through the window.
‘He stood right there and he looked me dead in my face and unloaded the gun again on her,’ said the victim’s mother, Gloria Blalock, while speaking to WSB-TV.
Felicia’s twin sister, Tenisha Miller, tearfully pleaded for help in tracking down the gunman, as Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
Anyone who sees Cox is asked not to approach him but to call 911 as he is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is being asked to call Marietta police at 770-794-5345.
