Mother says 10-year-old daughter who died after a fight with classmate was being bullied by attacker over her appearance

The mother of a ten-year-old girl who died after a fight with a student at her South Carolina school said her daughter had been bullied multiple times for her appearance but claims teachers did nothing to stop it.

Raniya Wright died in hospital two days after getting into the fight with a classmate at Forest Hills Elementary School in Walterboro on March 25.

The fifth grader’s mother, Ashley Wright, said she had complained to the school multiple times about Raniya being bullied.
