ST. PETERSBURG —The Laymen’s Ministry of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church honored their women last Saturday, May 7 by putting on a special Mother’s Day program.
Complete with a three-course dinner, music by the male choir led by Brother Eland Wilson and speaker Deacon Lento Jenkins, Jr., the afternoon was filled with the Word of God, delicious food, fellowship, delicious food, prizes, delicious food and did I mention delicious food.
Now in its third year, the Laymen’s Ministry prepared and served the mothers and mothers-to-be all afternoon. The Upper Room was packed with more than 100 women as Deacon Johnnie Douglas presided over the program.
