New Faith Free Methodist Church honors the SPPD and Chief Anthony Holloway

 

ST. PETERSBURG — As part of their Men’s Day 2017 celebration, the members of New Faith Free Methodist Church, located at 2427 Irving Ave. S, will honor St. Petersburg’s finest.

The public is invited to attend the 11 a.m. morning worship service Sunday, June 25. The keynote speaker will be Police Chief Anthony Holloway, and the theme of “Men of Faith Striving for Stronger Brotherhood” is clearly a reflection of our community’s need.

Holloway began his law enforcement career with the Clearwater Police Department in 1985. Upon his retirement in 2007, he was selected as the chief of police for the City of Somerville, Mass. In February 2010, he rejoined the Clearwater Police Department as chief of police, and in August 2014 he was selected and now serves as St. Pete’s top cop.

Colors for the occasion are gold and black (optional). Also in attendance will be Assistant Chief Luke Williams, the Theta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and other community service award recipients.
