Schizophrenic ex-boyfriend rejected while trying to reconcile with his ex hours before he went into a killing rampage

The father who murdered his one-year-old daughter and two other family members before turning the gun on himself had been trying to get back together with the girl’s mother.

Terrance Briggs was guzzling Hennessy and trying to reconcile with Olivia Callender, his ex and the mother of his daughter Laylay, over FaceTime on Tuesday night, sources told the New York Post.

‘Life is short,’ the 27-year-old apparently told Callender about 9.15pm.

Just hours later Laylay, Briggs’ step-father Loyd Drain Jr, and Drain’s 16-year-old biological son Loyd Drain III were found dead in a Brooklyn apartment.

Briggs' told Callender he wanted to get back together with her for the sake of their daughter, Laylay, who he shot dead just hours later   Briggs had schizophrenia and had just started being allowed visitation with his daughter again

Briggs had schizophrenia and had just started being allowed visitation with his daughter again. On Tuesday night he was off his schizophrenia medication.

‘He wanted to get back together with her for the baby’s sake,’ a high-ranking police source told the Post.

‘She must have said no. He told her he was depressed because somebody in his family had died.
