Science Rocks the Park

While the weather was a little questionable, Tyrone Middle School teacher Veronica James and her group were able to make kids ages two to 82 very happy Sat., March 29 at the Science Rocks the Park event located in Campbell Park.

The event was equipped with robotics, volcanoes, slime, foam, DNA experiments and something made with dry ice that created massive bubbles. With all the fun, the children didn’t realize that they were learning science, and on a Saturday.

James has been a fixture in Pinellas County classrooms since 1994; for 20 years she has strived and succeeded at using the essential ingredients necessary in transforming young students into productive, responsible citizens.

If you missed the event, you can always pick up her new book called “Words for life: Ms. James’ pocket wisdom” available locally at Reader’s Choice Book Store at 4341 34th St. S., or log onto www.Amazon.com, thirtydays.webs.com or contact her directly at DreamMakersda@gmail.com.
