Harris was diagnosed with a disorder that affects the brain of people who have suffered multiple concussions.

It is the latest in a long list of criminal drama for the former all-American cornerback who was tipped for a pro-football career back in 2010.

He was arrested for marijuana possession and domestic harassment in 2013 and was clocked traveling 118 mph with a suspended license in 2011.

Harris was sentenced to 12 months jail for starting a fire in Fresno in December 2015 and was arrested and sentenced to one year jail in April for theft.

His arrest at the weekend includes a charge of violating his parole from his most recent jail term.

Harris’ mother Lizette Harris took to Facebook following her son’s arrest to say he was going through a ‘low and difficult time’.

‘It’s not just drugs. When he is ready he will share his story… Football has always been a major part of his life,’ she wrote.

‘To see your child go from a happy, outgoing (and) very confident person into a hurting and painful person is a very hurt full (sic) thing to see.’
