Thief robs pregnant Florida woman, snatches necklace hours before she gives birth BY MYRIAH TOWNER FOR DAILYMAIL.COM A pregnant Florida woman ended up running for her and her unborn child’s safety only hours before giving birth after a thief snatched a necklace from her neck. Julienne Antoine had contractions about 20 minutes apart when she went for a walk around 10.30am on October 24, her due date, hoping her water would break. During her walk, she was confronted by the suspect on a sidewalk who forcefully pulled off the necklace she was wearing around her neck, police said. ‘I just couldn’t believe it,’ Antoine told Click Orlando. ‘Who robs a pregnant woman?’ Antoine said the suspect put the necklace in his pocket and walked away before she started questioning him and reached for her phone to call 911. She was going to call police when he came back running back towards her, she said. He tried to take her phone with a brief struggle ensuing before she ran into the middle of the road and started screaming, police said. ‘I was like, if he punches me and I fall down and I’m on my due date, I don’t want anything to happen to the baby,’ she told Click Orlando. ‘I already carried this baby for nine months. I’m not going to let something happen to her.’ The suspect then took off without the phone, leaving Antoine breathless and shaken. She was taken to hospital where she stayed until she gave birth to her daughter Janelle around 5.30pm. The mother and daughter are okay following the ordeal. On Monday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office released a sketch of the suspect who is described as a black male in his 20s, between 5’8” and 5’10”, and with ‘twisty’ style black hair with blonde tips. He also has unknown possible tattoos on his upper chest and right arm, authorities said.
