Odell Beckham threw a hissy-fit on the field during Sunday’s game.
The Giants star let his emotions get the better of him during a match against the Washington Redskins.
The madness started with a wild sequence in the fourth quarter that featured a helmet-to-helmet hit from Washington cornerback Josh Norman — Beckham’s nemesis.
Then he became further frustrated after Eli Manning threw a red-zone interception. Beckham wasn’t pleased.
He went to the sidelines and lost his mind as he decided to attack a kicking net.
The apparatus fell over and the metal beam pounded him in the head.
Beckham can often be relied upon to provide something of a show whether he’s warming up before a game, making plays on the field, squabbling with opponents, or venting on the sideline.
He was especially tense on the day of his much-awaited rematch with Josh Norman.
A year ago, Beckham and Norman, then with the Panthers, got into a series of nasty one-on-one scuffles that led to Beckham receiving three personal fouls.
After Norman signed with the division-rival Redskins during the offseason, their rematch was hyped throughout the week.
Beckham had been given firm warnings before the game not to lose self-control while out on the field.
‘They came up before the game and said, ‘If you do anything, we’re throwing you out of the game.” That was before the game,’ Beckham said. ‘There was no, ‘You get a warning.’ There wasn’t any of that. You’ve just got to be on your best behavior.’
