Ferguson mom found dead in pool of blood after inviting male Facebook friend to her home

Police in Ferguson, Missouri, are investigating the apparent murder of a young single mother who was found naked in a pool of her own blood over the weekend after her family said she had invited a male Facebook friend over to her home.

Sharae Bradford, 25, was discovered bleeding profusely on her bed when a relative stopped by her apartment in the 1500 block of Northwinds Estate Drive at around 6pm Saturday to check up on her after being unable to reach her by phone.

A police spokesman said Bradford was still alive when her family member found her, but by the time paramedics arrived she was no longer responsive. Bradford was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said as of Monday, investigators had no motive or suspect in the homicide, reported the St Louis Post-Dispatch.

However, Bradford’s family members believe the person responsible for her death is a man she met on Facebook last week, and who allegedly came out to visit her Saturday night.

Yolanda Seay, Bradford’s mother, claimed in an interview with the station Fox2Now that the unnamed Facebook friend is mentally ill and has an extensive record of violent crimes against women.

‘We didn’t know this until everybody started posting things on Facebook about him. They say they know he did this,’ Ms Seay said.

Bradford’s loved ones are convinced that the killer was captured on a surveillance camera entering and existing the apartment building.

The slain woman was described as an aspiring nurse who was raising her six-year-old daughter on her own. The girl was not home at the time of her mother’s slaying.

As of Tuesday morning, Bradford’s Facebook friend has not been identified and no arrests have been made in the case.
