Sloane Stephens may be one of the most gifted tennis players in recent history – but even with her immense talent, she’ll be the first to admit that the sport isn’t always enjoyable.

In an interview with American Way, American Airlines’ in-flight magazine, in which the 25-year-old tennis star posed for a series of stunning photos, showcasing her toned physique and glowing skin, she candidly admitted that for her, sometimes ‘tennis is just not fun’.

Making time: In the magazine, Sloane discussed trying to find a balance between tennis and other aspects of her life, like her foundation and her boyfriend, Toronto FC player Jozy Altidore

A prime example would be when she lost in the first round at Wimbledon in July and more recently, her loss to Simona Halep during the finals of the French Open. But it isn’t just the losses on the court that have a negative impact on her life – it’s also the immense sacrifices she has to make in order to stay at the top of her game.
