Hall of Famer and legendary 76ers guard Hal Greer dies at 81

Hall of Fame guard Hal Greer, a teammate of Wilt Chamberlain with the Philadelphia 76ers NBA championship team in 1967, died at age 81.

Greer spent his entire 15-year career with the 76ers-Nationals franchise and was a 10-time All-Star.

Greer is 34th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, just behind Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird, with 21,586 career points. He was named to the NBA’s 50th anniversary team in 1996.

During the 1967 NBA playoffs, Greer averaged 27.7 points in 15 games to help the 76ers dethrone the Celtics.
