Texas A&M defensive lineman Zaycoven Henderson was arrested on Sunday for allegedly pointing a rifle at multiple people and threatening to kill them.
Henderson, 23, was charged with second-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and marijuana possession of less than two ounces stemming from the incident that took place at 2.30am at the Campus Village Apartments in College Station.
Officers with the College Station Police Department were summoned to the scene after getting reports from several residents saying that two men threatened them with a gun.
As Henderson and a second suspect, 24-year-old Terry Florez Jr, were pulling out of the housing complex on Harvey Mitchell Parkway, they were stopped by police, reported the station KXXV.
According to officials, Henderson had thrown the rifle from the car into the nearby woods just before his car was pulled over. The firearm was later recovered and matched the exact description given by the victims.
Officers also seized marijuana from Henderson and Florez, according to police. The pair were then booked into the Brazos County Jail.
