Ugly footage of California officer wrestling jaywalking student to ground on first day of school

A shocking video shows a California officer wrestling a student for jaywalking on his first day of high school. 

The student’s friend recorded the entire incident which lasted for more than two minutes. The video was posted to Facebook by a third teen who witnessed the incident and the video has since been shared more than 200,000 times.

In the video, the officer is seen trying to detain the student who asked his friend for a phone so that he could call his dad.

The officer told the student that he could be arrested if he doesn't sit down   The student who recorded the tussle yells in the background: 'Let em' go! Let em' go!'

The incident took place Wednesday in Fresno, California, near First and Barstow outside Hoover High School.

The video was shared by a third student who witnessed the incident and named the detained teen as ‘KC’ in the caption.

A link to KC’s Facebook page showed that ‘KC’ stands for Keyshawn Conley.

In the post the student said the teens were walking to school on their first day of senior year when ‘KC was about to cross the street’.

But instead KC jaywalked, ‘so this cop from Fresno PD started disrespecting him and grabbing him’ for jaywalking.

The student wrote that KC was arrested along with his other friend, who was recording the incident.

Both KC and the unidentified student who was recording were taken to jail.

The video starts out with the teen asking the officer: ‘Why are you grabbing me?’

The officer then orders him to ‘sit down’ several times before calling for backup.

‘I used the crosswalk like you said,’ the student yelled repeatedly.

As the officer continues to yell ‘sit down’, the video shows him holding the teen with one arm before grabbing onto the student’s backpack.

The student who recorded the tussle yells in the background: ‘Let em’ go! Let em’ go!’

As the officer tells the student that he could be arrested if he doesn’t sit down, the student recording yells: ‘You can’t arrest him.’

The officer tries to force the teen to the ground as the teen resists and repeatedly tells the officer to get off of him.

‘Black Lives Matter,’ the student recording yells.

As the officer and student continue to wrestle, the officer tells him he’s under arrest and appears to try and force his hands behind his back.

The teen asked the officer what he was being arrested for and the officer responded: ‘Right now for battery of an officer.’

‘I ain’t do nothing wrong! I ain’t do nothing wrong!’ the student yells.

The student identified as Keyshawn and the student who was recording were both taken to jail. The Fresno Police Department haven't released any details of the incident. And the officer (pictured) hasn't been identified

The officer then forces the student to the ground as he holds him down in a headlock.

Throughout the entire video, all of the students can be heard yelling expletives.

A bystander in the background yells to the student to ‘stop resisting’ but the student recording the video responded for him.

‘He’s not resisting! Black Lives Matter mother f**ker,’ he yelled to the bystander.

Shortly after the recorder argues with the witness, another officer rides up on a patrol car to aid the arresting officer.

As the student is being held on the ground he yells to his friend: ‘Call my dad!’

The officer then goes after the student recording and attempts to arrest him before the video cuts off.

The Fresno Police Department haven’t released any details of the incident.

And the officer hasn’t been identified.
