Local author and historian Jon Wilson will speak about his latest book, Days of Fear: A Lynching in St. Petersburg. Co-authored with
Jane A. McNeil, the book tells the story of the 1914 gruesome murder of Frank Sherman. The days of terror that followed led to the calculated lynching of John Evans, a Black man accused of the murder. There will be time for questions after the talk and a reception follows. Bring your book for signing if you already have one, and there will also be copies for purchase.
