Death Café – the Public is Invited
On Saturday, February 22nd, 2020, the Unitarian Universalist of St Petersburg will host a Death Cafe from 9:30 – 1130am at the church located on Arlington Ave. The program can be accessed through the Mirror Lake doors and will be held in the Conway North and Conway Middle rooms.
This event will facilitated by Revs Nan L. White from the Unitarian Universalist of St Petersburg and Patricia Owen (formerly of the Unitarian Universalist of Tampa).
What is a Death Cafe? After the tragedy of 9/11, a movement swept across the country and the globe where people came together with a need to discuss death in an open, accessible and respectful space. A Death Cafe is not a grief or support meeting. There is no agenda, theme, or objective, however, there is often expect cake, tea and open-ended dialogue surrounding one the great mysteries that ties all of us together.
Death Cafes is a free event and donations are accepted. To reserve a place at the event RSVP to: revnanlwhite@gmail.com .
