ST. PETERSBURG — AT&T hosted a tech-training event Thurs., June 18 for seniors at the Sunshine Senior Center in downtown St. Petersburg.
The workshop was a collaboration between AT&T, the Sunshine Senior Center and the Poynter Institute.
The high school students provided seniors with one-on-one training in using smartphones and tablets. The goal of the senior training was to help bridge the growing technology gap between seniors and youth.
AT&T donated two Samsung Galaxy tablets to the senior center so seniors can continue learning new skills.
