ST. PETERSBURG – Eta Rho Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity donated 45 Thanksgiving baskets on Monday, Nov. 20 to local residents deserving of a complete dinner with all the trimmings.
The men of Omega found great joy in purchasing and delivering all the necessary items that afforded each family a nutritious meal on this very special day. This effort was made possible in partnership with the Walmart Supercenter on 34th Street South.
For the past 25 years, the Eta Rho Chapter has provided this service to the citizens of south St. Petersburg and continues to play an active role in many facets of the local community.
The chapter’s nonprofit arm, Eta Rho Education Services, raises money year-round through many charitable events that afford this type of ongoing community outreach. Eta Rho is recognized as one of the fraternity’s most active chapters for its many Social Action projects that directly impact the lives of community members.
This year’s executive officers, led by Brother James Jackson, Jr., promises even more community involvement both individually and collectively from the brotherhood.
