ONE Lord, ONE Doctrine, ONE Baptism

Praise the Lord everyone.

Yes, it’s been a minute since I last wrote an article. There has been so much in that timeframe and its time I decompress and unload what’s been on my mind all this time.

I’ve experienced loss by way of family and close kingdom family members and as I write this one, I have two Homegoing Services in the next two weeks.

One appointment we will never be late for is the Homegoing appointment, which brings me to the first topic: you better know that you know that you know you are on the right side of Jesus Christ.

I personally couldn’t give a crap about what anyone that doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ thinks as it relates to if the Bible is real, if Jesus Christ was in fact the eternal Father wrapped up in flesh and blood and came down to redeem mankind.

I won’t waste my time and energy debating or discussing that with any of them. Someone is right and someone is wrong.  I preached a message some time ago titled “Eternity’s Too Long to Be Wrong.”

Your soul will spend an eternity somewhere and if you don’t wanna believe that death is not the end all be all, fine it won’t matter when you are resurrected in the second and third resurrection.

No sense me talking about the tribulation and the great white throne judgment either.

I’m thankful and blessed to have had the opportunity to have baptized my first three saints into the kingdom by baptizing them in Jesus name, the only way the Bible says and you can research and validate according to the scriptures.  All through the Book of Acts you will witness that none of the baptism found were EVER done in the titles, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Jesus commanded that you be baptized in the NAME, singular; “titles” is plural, His NAME. Matt 28:19, Luke 24:36-49, Acts 2:33-38. Even Ephesians 4:5, ONE Lord, ONE doctrine (faith), ONE Baptism. Also, yes it does matter how, but don’t believe me. Let’s grow spiritually according to the scriptures.

Acts 19 Amplified Bible

19 It happened that while Apollos was in Corinth, Paul went through the upper [inland] districts and came down to Ephesus, and found some disciples. 2 He asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed [in Jesus as the Christ]?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” 3 And he asked, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.” 4 Paul said, “John performed a baptism of repentance, continually telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, [to confidently accept and joyfully believe] in Jesus [the Messiah and Savior].” 5 After hearing this, they were baptized [again, this time] in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in [unknown] tongues (languages) and prophesying. 7 There were about twelve men in all.

Hmmmmm!

Twelve disciples, men of God already who had already been baptized, but not in Jesus name.  Notice after Paul explained to them that they didn’t receive the correct baptism, what they did.  Notice without hesitation, all 12 of these disciples got rebaptized in Jesus name, and oh my goodness, looka there, they got filled with that mysterious Holy Spirit that they didn’t even believe was real or even existed.

So no, it’s not just for special saints, it’s for all that repented, turned from their old ways and turned their lives over to worshipping, following, and OBEYING the Word of God.  So if you were baptized in Jesus name and don’t have the Holy Ghost, know that once you fully submit, it will happen.  Jesus will not enter an unclean body.  He knows your heart and your true thoughts and intentions.  You can’t con God.

Thank you Sister Gail (now my spiritual sister as well), Sister Judy (my most faithful saint), and Sister Azarea (my daughter/niece also).

Special thanks to my brother in Christ, Apostle Hodge for all he did to make this a reality.

So many are arriving for their appointments and most of the ones I know got it right prior to leaving our presence and all I can say is this, what’s your reason for not doing it.  If your pastor tells you you don’t need it, have him explain the conversation Jesus had with Nicodemus in the book of John.

Everyone loves John 3:16, but need to go to the beginning of the chapter and start at verse 1.  Also, notice what it says, and most overlook this. It says “should” be saved, not shall or will be saved.

The word “should” is conditional and it’s based off what Jesus told Nicodemus baptized in the water and in the Spirit, Acts 2:38 baptized in the name of Jesus and you SHALL receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  See it NEVER changed. Same as in Luke 24:47-49.

Oh, I remember I said I would deal with the seven churches in the book of Revelation. Don’t worry; it’s coming. It’s gonna be fire. We have already covered the church at Ephesus so far in service, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. at 2800 41st Ave. N, St. Pete.  We’d Love to have you.

Till next week,

Blessings,

Bishop Dr. Robert L. Harrison, PhD, DD
