St. Pete native Nàtlie Johnson took home an Emmy Award for Outstanding Technical Team Event for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games.
ST. PETERSBURG — Television graphics professional and St. Pete native Nàtlie Johnson has earned her first Emmy for Outstanding Technical Team Event for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games. Johnson quietly and humbly accepted the honor, but as for mother, she is shouting from the rooftop that “my daughter is an Emmy Award Winner!”
Previously nominated for two Emmys, Johnson has worked on multiple Olympic Games, Vogue’s Met Gala, Today Show, Live P.D., HBCUGo Sports, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, and the U.S. Open. She is especially proud to encourage local Black females to pursue technical careers in film and television, adding another cause for celebration.
“Her peers have bestowed a high honor upon her for her hard work,” said her mother, Debbie Smith. “But what the family wants her to know is that not only have we seen how hard it was for her, but we have also seen her blood, sweat, tears, determination, and perseverance.”
Congratulations, Nàtlie! We are extremely proud and celebrate your incredible achievement!
