ST. PETERSBURG – Hey Kids! Brush up on your geography this summer and have some fun at the library while you do it. Students entering grades one through six are invited to compete for prizes in the 4th Annual Geography Bee, to be held on Wed., July 30 at 6:15 p.m. at the St. Petersburg James Weldon Johnson Community Library, 1059 18th Ave. S.

The free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Johnson Community Library. The top three finishers in three grade-level groups are awarded gift cards.  Participants may pre-register and obtain study sheets at the library or online at www.splibraries.org. Registration is also held on-site the evening of the Geography Bee.
