Stay tuned for the new WRXB

BY ED EDWARDS, WRXB General Manager

Exciting things are happening at WRXB, but first a sincere thank you to all of our loyal sponsors who stuck with us during our recent transmitter and equipment problems.

WRXB engineers are in the process of transporting and installing an AM transmitter and you will be able to hear 1590 radio once again throughout Tampa Bay.

We will continue to play all your favorite inspirational music along with news, weather, sports, topical shows, our weekend church programs, plus much more.

I’m very excited to announce the purchased a new on-air telephone system, so you will be able to call in and discuss various issues with the announcers clearly on the air.

And that’s not all…WRXB will also be heard on 96.5 FM, and wait until you hear how great the music sounds on FM. We will be simulcasting our program on 96.5 FM along with 1590 FM.

It has taken a while for our corporate headquarters in Chicago to be able to fund the large cost of rebuilding the station after lightning destroyed our entire transmitter system and damaged beyond repair the machinery associated with it. The back-up transmitter we installed afterwards did its job of keeping us on the air under extreme circumstances, but it is not powerful enough.

The targeted date for the new WRXB is July 4 if all the engineering goes as planned. There is a massive amount of electrical contracting that needs to take place to complete this project.

I will keep you updated as to how the installations are progressing. In the meantime, you can contact by email at ed@wrxb.us.

Again, thank you for your support.
