Atmosphere Changers

BY REV. DORAL PULLEY

“…in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.” – Philippians 2:15

Jesus manifested power over the elements. He spoke to the winds and the waves and told them to be calm and there was a manifestation. They obeyed his voice and the weather conditions were changed.

God has given us power to make good decisions and wise choices for our lives (Luke 10:19).  God has also given us power over our environment (Luke 10:19). Sometimes there are external circumstances that need our attention.  Sometimes we need to change the climate in our homes, in our places of employment, in our schools, in our local assemblies and in our neighborhoods.  The Holy Spirit that is in us is able to permeate through us and effect positive change in our environment.

Where there is hatred, envy and strife, we can bring a manifestation of love. Where there is chaos and confusion, we can bring a manifestation of peace. Where there is despair, fear and doubt, we can bring a manifestation of faith and hope. Where there is sorrow and grief, we can bring a manifestation of joy. These environmental changes for the good can manifest through our praise and worship, our words, our smile, our prayers, a verse of scripture or sometimes just our very presence can change the atmosphere.
