Get it together, together

Praise the Lord Saints.

All I have to say this week is if you don’t have you one like I do, just keep looking.

Sisters are the backbone of many, if not all, churches in our communities, and are very spiritually in tune. They are here to help us knuckleheads mellow out from time to time.

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day.

I was talking to a young brother and he seems to feel that he has to get “all his ducks lined up” before making his fiancé his wife. Although she wanted to be his beautiful bride years ago, he is postponing it because he feels he’s not ready.

Truth be told, not many are ever truly 100 percent ready for a lifelong commitment, and if you have someone that isn’t as concerned about you getting “everything” together, make the date and let God take care of the particulars.

I told him to ask her how she felt, if it doesn’t matter to her, you are doing her a disservice by telling her wait until you get everything together. Satan might not ever let you think everything is together and you could miss out on the best thing to ever happen to you. Have her help you get it together, together.

The family is the first unit Satan attempts to disrupt. If he can divide or make it unstable, then he can begin to tear it apart.

God created three unions or relationships when he decided to create man. The first was between Him and man; the second was between man and woman and finally parents with children. Once He created and established each of these, He then proceeded to set boundaries and rules whereby each is to be formed and built. Once the foundation had been established, it was then up to us to fulfill and replicate what was set forth.

When we decide to step outside the boundaries, which had been established by God Himself, chaos, deceit, malice, division and a bucket load of other issues are ushered in and ultimately relationships are dissolved, usually on bad and sometimes irreparable conditions.

Once the order is reestablished, then and only then can we begin to recondition or create a paradigm shift towards repairing this mess Satan has so masterfully orchestrated.

Getting in front of a microphone or camera and yelling with anger in your tone only ensures the right people will tune you out and label you as hostile and unapproachable.

I have associations with so many good folks that mean well for this community, neighborhood and city as a whole. The problem or issue is, they can’t stand each other and I’m caught in the middle. I guess God has placed me here because I don’t have no nickel in this quarter or no horse in this race, but he has given me the solution. Once I’m able to reestablish the channels of communication between these folks, then rebuild the bridge with love, this city will begin to mend its wounds.

I guess I need to run for office soon. If I pull this one off, I should be a shoe in. I’m just wondering sometimes if it is worth it, but since God has me on this path, it doesn’t matter what I think or feel.

Grown folks fighting like cats and dogs, and they all want the same thing but feel the others aren’t doing anything but helping themselves and when they get into positions to do the greatest work, some feel they turn their backs on their people and the very ones that put them in those positions.

There are more issues than most know and with the help of the Lord, I will do my very best to squash them all and bring harmony.

A Virtuous Woman (Proverbs 31: 10-31)

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.

11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13 She seeketh wool and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

14 She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household and a portion to her maidens.

16 She considereth a field and buyeth it; with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good; her candle goeth not out by night.

19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

23 Her husband is known at the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

24 She maketh fine linen and selleth it, and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

25 Strength and honor are her clothing, and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.

27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

28 Her children arise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her:

29 “Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.”

30 Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who feareth the Lord, she shall be praised!

31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her at the gates.

Till next week,

God Bless and keep Us All.
