Scripture – “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16).”
Denial – “I let go of any idea that Jesus was the only Christ.”
Affirmation – “I AM the Christ.”
Jesus is known as Jesus Christ or Jesus, the Christ or Christ Jesus. Christ was not Jesus’ last name but it was a level of consciousness in which obtained and operated. Recognizing the power of the I AM is the Christ consciousness. Jesus realized the I AM of his being and went about doing good and healing people of all types of spiritual, mental and physical diseases (Acts 10:38).
Jesus was not the first Christ and he certainly was not the last Christ. Christ is the anointing of God in or upon a person, place or thing to do something supernatural. Whenever Christ manifest through a person, place or thing in the Bible, it was empowered to do something beyond it normal activities. One major biblical example is Moses hitting the rock and water coming out of it Water does not come out of rocks. That rock was Christ (I Corinthians 10:1-4).
Today, I AM the Christ. You are the Christ. We are the Christ. It is not our physical bodies that is Christ but it the Spirit living within us. The fact that Christ is in us and that we are Christ in the earth today is a mystery that God is revealing to more and more people every day (Colossians 1:27). The unveiling of this mystery gives us hope and encourages us to be who Jesus Christ was, to do what he did and even greater works (John 14:12).
Reflection Question – What is the difference between saying that Christ lives in me and saying I AM the Christ?
