Please join Mayor Sam Henderson of Gulfport and Mayor Rick Kriseman of St. Petersburg for a collaborative cleanup of 49th Street South and Tangerine Avenue South this Sat., Oct. 25.
The event is called “One Street, Two Cities, One Goal: Community Collaboration” and will start promptly at 8:15 a.m. Joining in on the cleanup, expect to work beside elected officials, city staff members, residents of the Childs Park and Westminster Heights Neighborhood Associations and Gulfport residents.
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m., and the cleanup immediately follows. Meet at the Tangerine Greenway, 49th Street and Tangerine Avenue South.
All ages are welcome. You are invited to come out and meet your neighbors from both sides of 49th Street. The Gulfport Trolley will provide transportation to take volunteers to the various work locations. A limited amount of pickers will be available, but if you have your own please bring it and wear comfortable footwear and gloves. Water will be provided.
