ST. PETERSBURG – Omega Psi Phi Fraternity-Eta Rho Chapter presented its annual talent hunt program at the Enoch Davis Recreation Center April 30. The evening was filled with anticipation and excitement as the students took the stage to showcase their talents.

The event is a national mandated program held throughout the nation for the purpose of selecting one accomplished student to represent the various local chapters. This year’s winner was Gibbs High School senior Angelina Brower.

Angelina treated the audience to a beautiful vocal composition of Les Berceaux, by Gabriel Faure. She will represent Eta Rho Chapter in September at the fraternity’s annual State of Florida Organizational meeting. The meeting will take place in Orlando and she will compete against young people from around the state.

As students successfully compete at the state and district levels, they qualify for full college scholarship consideration. Angelina is a senior honor student with future plans of attending Oklahoma City University, where she will major in Musical Theater.

This year’s Talent Hunt Chairman Brother Tom Packer, wishes to thank the chapter Basileus, Ivan Tucker, the Talent Hunt Committee, all participants from the Pinellas County Center of the Arts and Dr. Cody Clark for his unwavering support.
