Spotlighting children waiting for adoption

One Church One Child of Florida is a faith-based, 501(c)3 organization, operating statewide in partnership with the Department of Children and Families and Local Community Based Lead Agencies and their providers in recruitment of adoptive and foster families and local churches to partner in supporting children in foster care and local families through Church Watch-Care Ministries.

One Church One Child of Florida recognizes Black History Month and acknowledges the children who need a permanent family. The series continues featuring children all over Florida who are waiting in foster care for a forever loving family to call their own.   February’s child is highlighted in this article.  Continue to pray for him and consider making him a part of your family through adoption or a part of your church through Project Watch-Care, for support and mentoring.

In the spotlight this month waiting for adoption is Steven.

Steven is an expressive little boy with a huge imagination. He has a contagious laugh that fills the room, and he loves to be around other people. One of his favorite things to do is draw, and he creates very vivid, detailed worlds with paper and crayons.

HIs favorite animal is the lion, and like most eight year olds, his favorite place to go is McDonald’s! Steven isn’t sure yet what he’d like to be when he grows up, but with his creativity and ability to put his vision on the page, it’ll most likely be something to do with the arts.

Steven has overcome a lot in his young life, and he’s working hard at improving himself. He needs the consistency, encouragement and support of an understanding and patient two-parent home to help him continue to grow in the right direction.
