The Embrace

ST. PETERSBURG – Embrace, a Curvy / Plus size Charity Fashion Show will take place Nov. 8, featuring models from diverse walks of life, who have committed themselves to make a difference in their lives by living healthier.  Experience the true meaning of “embrace” with your beauty, your body and your life.

“Embrace supports the Obesity Project and the Heart Association in providing awareness to women, men and teenagers with heart disease about good health and fitness,” said Audrey “Pat” McGhee, Founder of Embrace Charity Fashion Show in its third year.

“There’s not many platforms which encourages curvy and plus size women who already face challenges of finding fashionable attire. This showcase brings to the Tampa Bay area talented and creative designers that specializes in curvy and plus fashions.”

Embrace will encourage women and youth of all shapes and sizes to be transformed from the inside out and to realize that there are choices. It reaches out to them and encourages them to make the right decisions, a choice for healthy living.

There is a major need for events like these in the Tampa Bay area since obesity has been such a concern. The Obesity Project will help women and youth in the communities to be reached by opportunities that will inspire them and empower them to take special care of their hearts, minds and their overall physical being. These women and youth are the future and they need to feel their worth.

“Several sponsors, businesses and organizations have already partnered with “The Embrace” effort,” said McGhee.  “Embrace is not just a fashion show, it’s a movement. Your beauty, your body and your life.”

The fashion designers for the showcase will feature Voluptuous You by Desiree Fleming along with Angel Meyers out of Miami. Also, featured will be Elizabeth Carson Racker, Tampa, and Audrey Pat Designs from St. Petersburg.

“It’s going to be quite the experience,” she said.
