WMNF’s annual book and record (plus more) sale

TAMPA —The 957th WMNF Book + Record Sale will be held Sat., June 14, at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, 111 W. Fortune St., in downtown Tampa (near the performing arts center).  It isn’t just books and records, but books, CDs, DVDs, stereo equipment, musical instruments, plus other music related items.

This sale is known to collectors, DJs, and lovers of books and vinyl to be one of the best bargains in the state. Thousands of records, CDs, books and other items are priced really, really (um, really) cheap. All of the money helps support WMNF Community Radio.

There is lots of free parking; a restaurant right inside the hotel; and a cornucopia of sound and words for people to peruse.

There will be a special $8 price for those who want to get in an hour before the regular shoppers. Admission between 9-10 a.m. is $8, and after 10 a.m. it is just $3.

WMNF is a listener-supported community radio station that celebrates cultural diversity and is committed to equality, peace and economic justice.  WMNF provides broadcasts and other forums with a grassroots local emphasis that promotes creative, musical, and political vitality.
