A season of thanks

Once again we have entered the holiday season where many express their gratitude for one another. In speaking with a few people from the community, they were asked to express what Thanksgiving means to them. Here are the responses.

Rob Williams, Sr. Energy Efficiency Spec.

“I’m thankful for what God has done for me through the years. Also, it allows me to give back to those that are less fortunate.”

Pearl Daniels, Retired

“I’m thankful to be around family and friends. I just thank God to see another day of his grace and mercy.”

Leonard Falana, Retired Fireman

“Thanks! I’m thankful to have a Thanksgiving. I still have my mom who is 97 years old. I have good people in my life. I’m truly thankful for life.”

Antonia Williams, Salvation Army Worker

“Thanksgiving is about helping people who really need help. I love giving back. It makes me feel good to help people and it’s a blessing to me.”

Keishonda Baity, College Student

“I love seeing my family on Thanksgiving. I work two jobs so for the holiday, I don’t have to work. I can spend time with family.”

“For Thanksgiving, I’m looking forward to a gathering with the family and mac and cheese. Period!”
