Celebrating 25 years of inspired leadership: Month-long celebration honoring Rev. Louis Murphy, Sr.

Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church invites the community to celebrate Rev. Louis Murphy’s 25th pastor anniversary. 

ST. PETERSBURG — Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church is proud to announce a month-long celebration honoring the remarkable 25-year tenure of our esteemed senior pastor, Rev. Louis Murphy, Sr. From May 1-31, we invite our congregation and the broader community to join us in commemorating this significant milestone through a series of inspiring events and activities.

Under the theme “Answering the Call: Celebrating 25 Years with Rev. Louis Murphy, Sr.,” the month-long celebration will feature diverse events designed to honor the unwavering dedication and exemplary leadership of Rev. and Mrs. Murphy and their family.

 

The highlights of the celebration include:

  1. Sunday Services with Guest Preachers: Throughout the month of May, we will be blessed with the presence of esteemed guest preachers: Joel Gregory, Jeffrey Johnson, Sr., Bishop Julia M. McMillan, and Robert Smith, Jr., who will deliver powerful sermons to inspire and uplift our congregation.
  2. Night of Appreciation: On May 22nd, we will host a special Night of Appreciation to honor Rev. Murphy and his family. This memorable evening will include heartfelt presentations from various ministries, captivating performances, and light-hearted entertainment from renowned comedian Sure Fire.
  3. Gala Event: The celebration will culminate with a grand Gala Event on May 25th. Guests will enjoy an elegant dinner, captivating entertainment featuring Nathan Mitchell, Grammy-nominated jazz artist, and special recognition of Rev. Murphy and family for their exceptional service and dedication.
