In the Spotlight are children available for adoption into your family

One Church One Child of Florida is a faith-based, 501(c)3 organization, operating statewide in partnership with the Department of Children and Families and Local Community Based Lead Agencies and their providers in recruitment of adoptive and foster families and local churches to partner in supporting children in foster care and local families through Church  Watch-Care Ministries.

One Church One Child of Florida acknowledges the children who need a permanent family. The series continues featuring children all over Florida who are waiting in foster care for a forever loving family to call their own. March’s child is highlighted in this article.  Continue to pray for her and consider making her a part of your family through adoption or a part of your church through Project Watch-Care, for support and mentoring.

Tikenya

Tikenya is one of those salt-of-the-earth personalities, who will do anything for the people she loves. She is a little reserved, but opens up with time.

Tikenya is loyal and her friends play an important role in her life. She has a beautiful, rich inner life, filled with her curiosity and imagination, and she’s a very talented artist, especially in music and drawing.

Tikenya’s very funny, and thrives in situations where her artistic side can run free. She is driven by her goals and works hard to that end. Tikenya would like to go to college and either join the military or study to become an FBI agent.  Tikenya is very involved in church, and so a religious family or one who is supportive of her religious activities will be best.

One Church One Child of Florida is hosting an Education Forum on Thur., March 17 from 6 –7 p.m. at Bay Vista Church of Christ located at 5460 7th St. S in  St. Petersburg where Rev. Lorenzo Pollard is the Pastor.

Information will be available on adopting, fostering, mentoring, partnering and volunteering.  Refreshments will be served.  Please RSVP to LaKay at (813) 740-0210 or (813) 597-3294 (cell).
