Sanderlin Center second quarterly Family Fun Day this Saturday

ST. PETERSBURG — The James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center is excited to announce its second quarterly Family Fun Day for Saturday, May 11 from 11-2:30 p.m. This will be a fun-filled day for the entire family and FREE to the public.

The goal for the quarterly events is to increase awareness and access to the local resources available to children and families in the community.

The James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center will be transformed into a kid’s paradise with a DJ, face painting, crafts and so much more! Adults will have fun too!  All mothers will receive a free carnation just in time for Mother’s Day.

Free hot dogs and chips are available for attendees beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the food is gone (first come, first serve). There will be a drawing for gift cards with no purchase necessary to win. Feel free to bring your wagons and picnic blankets to set up space while you enjoy the day’s activities.

“This Family Fun Day will focus on spiritual, mental and emotional wellbeing by featuring a gospel showcase of local neighborhood churches,” stated Dr. Celeste Thomas, executive director, James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center.

Vending opportunities are available. This is a excellent free networking event for community agencies to meet potential partners. If you are looking to sell art, jewelry, make-up, services, crafts, etc., there are vending tables available for a $10 registration fee. This includes one table and two chairs.

Fun Day Agenda

  • The family fun, vendor tables and gospel showcase (six church choirs performing in 15-minute showcases) start at 11 a.m.
  • A live remote from 99.1 JAMS starts at 11 a.m.
