Four Leading Agencies Respond to Dual Disasters Impacting the Tampa Bay Region
CLEARWATER, FL — October 10, 2024 — As communities across Tampa Bay face the aftermath of two devastating hurricanes, Helene and Milton, the Tampa Bay Resiliency Fund (TBRF) has been expanded to meet the growing needs of those most affected. Initially activated to support relief efforts for Hurricane Helene, the fund has now broadened its reach to help people impacted by the widespread destruction of Hurricane Milton.
The TBRF is a collaboration among Allegany Franciscan Ministries, Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg, Pinellas Community Foundation, and United Way Suncoast. Together, these trusted organizations are providing a direct and reliable way for individuals and businesses to contribute to recovery efforts, ensuring that resources reach the people and communities most in need.
With established relationships with many on-the-ground organizations, the fund has a proven track record of swiftly directing aid to those most in need. The fund partners bring years of experience and agility, allowing them to quickly assess and meet critical needs as they arise. In fact, the fund is already actively distributing resources to communities devastated by the storms.
