ST. PETERSBURG – Isaac McKinney III, a global program manager for PwC, has been appointed to a four-year term as a USF St. Petersburg Campus Board member.

McKinney earned a master’s in business administration from the University of South Florida, as well as an undergraduate degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). He has been in his current role at PwC since 2015, where he manages efforts to reduce global data security vulnerability exposure.

“Isaac is a terrific communicator and problem solver,” said Melissa Seixas, the chair of the USF St. Petersburg Campus Board and a member of the USF Board of Trustees. “We’re looking forward to having someone with his knowledge of advanced technology as we work to find innovative solutions that will continue the positive momentum at USF’s St. Petersburg campus.”

The Florida Legislature established the USF St. Petersburg Campus Board in 2001. The USF Board of Trustees appoints members upon recommendation by the USF president and consists of five members residing in Pinellas County who serve staggered four-year terms.

McKinney joined PwC in 2003 as an application integration manager and quickly rose through the ranks. He previously led telecommunications consulting engagements for Oracle Consulting, where he helped clients reduce their IT costs while increasing business functionality.

“Isaac’s experience in the business and technology worlds will be a welcome addition to our Campus Board,” said Christian Hardigree, regional chancellor of USF’s St. Petersburg campus. “He is also an active member of our community who brings valuable insight to USF.”

A graduate of Leadership St. Pete, McKinney is a member of numerous professional organizations and has served on several boards, including American Stage Theater, Shorecrest Preparatory School, YWCA and 100 Black Men of Tampa Bay.

“As a proud alum, I’m delighted to join the USF St. Petersburg Campus Board,” McKinney said. “There’s a lot of growth and energy at the campus, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with my fellow board members on behalf of the faculty, staff, and students.”
