ST. PETERSBURG – The home of the longest-running MLK parade, St. Pete’s yearly celebration that commemorates the life, legacy and dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is the largest parade in the southwest United States.
Since 2018, Advantage Village Academy has hosted the MLK Dream Big Parade, with this year’s Grand Marshal Attorney James Flynn being one of its most prominent sponsors. The parade started in 1986.
Some 150 organizations, including groups, floats, and marching bands, made their way down First Avenue South, emptying into the Tropicana Field parking lot where the Family Fun Day got underway with food, live performances and family-friendly activities.
