CLEARWATER – The Belle of the Ball Project will provide free prom dresses and accessories to in-need high school girls Saturday, March 23 from 10-2 p.m. It will repeat the giveaway April 6 and 13.
Located at 1210 Holt Ave., Clearwater, Saturday is the first shopping date of the prom season! The 5,000 square foot permanent Belle of the Ball boutique is a beautiful store-like setting with more than 3,000 dresses in inventory.
The charity, now in its second decade of serving girls, welcomes all financially needy girls to get a dress regardless of where they live. Dresses are available to all in-need, high school girls for any high school dance such as prom, homecoming and military balls.
The honor system is respected. No referral letter is necessary, and no appointments are needed. A $1 to $5 donation is requested but not required. Dresses are for high school dances only! Donations of dresses and accessories can also be made at the site. Large sized dresses are in biggest need (size 18-26).
