ST. PETERSBURG — Mayor Ken Welch’s City Hall On Tour series is back! He and the City of St. Petersburg leadership team will host a series of open house-style tour stops at different locations throughout St. Pete. These tour stops aim to listen to and educate residents about the many functions and resources available from City departments.
The first of three tour stops this year will be on Wednesday, March 20, at Pinellas Technical College, 901 34th St. S. All tour stops are family-friendly, and local vendors will provide food.
This year’s tour stops will be at local educational institutions, focusing on workforce development to support Mayor Welch’s Education and Youth Opportunities Pillar for Progress.
Each event is free and open to all St. Pete residents.
Recently, Welch introduced Mayor’s Future Ready Academy, which aims to connect St. Pete’s young adults aged 18-24 with employment opportunities and prepare them for long-term career success. 2024. A partnership between the City of St. Petersburg and Pinellas Technical College, Mayor’s Future Ready Academy began in January with its first cohort.
