The Artist Talk with Dallas Jackson Cooper, EdE, MFA will take place on Oct. 25 at Tully-Levine Gallery, 515 22nd St. S, St. Petersburg, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
ST. PETERSBURG — The Warehouse Arts District Association, in collaboration with Dallas Cooper Jackson, EdD, MFA, a distinguished artist and consultant of arts integration, presents his captivating new collection of works titled “Extirpation: Color, Class, and Currency.”
This engaging exhibition delves into various facets of African-American history, challenging the narratives and perceptions that have shaped the past and continue to influence the present.
“My intent in the creation of work is to encourage a discussion about humanity in general. My work as a consultant of arts integration and visual arts led me to visit national museums to gather information about African American history,” said Jackson.
His art explores historical injustices, systemic racism and economic disparities, intending to spark empathy and vital conversations about buried memories and historical documentation gaps. The exhibition will be free and open to the public in the Tully-Levine Gallery at 515 22nd St. S, St. Petersburg, from Oct. 14 to Nov. 1.
The Artist Talk will take place on Oct. 25 in the Tully-Levine Gallery from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The event is co-presented by Green Book of Tampa Bay. Admission is free for WADA members; general admission tickets are $20. The schedule for the event is as follows:

- 7:15-8:30 p.m.: Artist Talk with Dr. Dallas Jackson
