“We are the only church preaching the whole truth,” “the reason people are leaving the church is that nobody wants to live right,” “I will let you preach a trial sermon first and then decide if I want to elevate you to a leadership position within the church,” “it’s God’s church,” “we have to hold up the blood stained banner and keep to the standard or the church will not stand.”
These are the most popular lines used all throughout Christendom and what each one does is creates giant loopholes for unbelievers, unchurched, and ultimately satan to use to deny, doubt, and debate what true believers have known to be true.
No, I haven’t gone on a tangent, I will bring it all together, be patient.
The church is the one place where all that is wrong can be made right or at least better. But, if things are not 100% spot on at least when it comes to the basics, then we will get essentially what we have today. Total chaos.
It’s a virtual free for all now when it comes to standing on the Word of God.
Everyone wants to be entertained and leave services happy and full of vapors that appear to be joy.
God forbid, the pastor preaches or teaches on a highly “controversial” issue.
For the record, if you didn’t know by now, there is no such thing as a controversial issue when it comes to the Word of God. Well, not in my book.
I try my best to steer the conversation away from it whenever I get the feeling its heading that way.
It’s wasted time most times when others have made up in their minds that they have valid points for doubting God, well, Jesus.
And my reply most times is similar to the line in “The Story of OJ”, when it says, “I’m not black, I’m OJ., (mid pause) .Okay
It’s amazing how in the last 5-10 years, born again, baptized in Jesus name, holy ghost filled folks are now saying, hold up wait a minute, maybe there is another way, maybe all I learned was not true. Oh, okay.
See, satan figured out that if I can usher in confusion and doubt in the church, there is n way they will ever be able to address their curses and demons. They will just accept that it’s just that way and ain’t nothing you can do to change it.
I tell other spiritual leaders all the time that there is no place in the Bible wher e God commands us to convict, change, or convince anyone. Just preach or teach the Word.
The Word has every ingredient added and is predesigned to do the work intended. We are to just present it to the saints.
Our #1 goal should be just to make a positive difference in the lives of ALL, not just those that are members of your church, but All whom you come in contact with daily.
You should be able to effect the lives of at least 1 person everywhere you go daily.
