It’s time to stuff the bus in St. Petersburg!

ST. PETERSBURG – The 2017 Stuff the Bus Campaign will come to St. Petersburg City Hall on Monday, August 7 as St. Petersburg-area businesses, city employees and community volunteers join together to stuff a Pinellas County school bus with school supplies.

The bus will be parked from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. adjacent to St. Petersburg City Hall, 175 Fifth St. N. Supplies collected at this location will be given to schools in St. Petersburg for their students in need.

Approximately 13 percent of families in Pinellas County are at poverty level and more than 3,000 children are homeless in Pinellas County. The Pinellas Education Foundation, the Pinellas County Council of PTAs, St. Pete’s Promise, the City of St. Petersburg, and many businesses within the community have joined together in an effort to collect donations for those students in need.

All school supplies are accepted including:

• Scissors

• Ballpoint Pens

• Water-based Markers

• Rulers

• No. 2 pencils

• Backpacks

• Spiral Notebooks

• Glue Sticks

• Erasers

• Three-ring Binders

• Index Cards

• Notebook Paper

• Pencil Sharpeners

• Pocket Folders
