Let’s Talk About It – A Candid Conversation on Why Black Men Do & Don’t Vote

ST. PETERSBURG — On Sept. 17, The Power of the Vote Collective will host a lively panel discussion of diverse Black men on the major factors that motivate Black men’s voting patterns.

Moderated by Rev. Kenny Irby, this “Candid Conversation” will begin with a focus group style panel with seven men who represent different generations, perspectives, and policy interests:

  • Marcus Brooks
  • Jamison Carnegie
  • Dr. Byron Green-Calisch
  • St. Petersburg Councilmember John Muhammad
  • Florida Senator Darryl Rouson
  • Rion Schofield
  • Anthony Williams

The live event will offer a light buffet during a mix & mingle half hour from 6:00 to 6:30, with the panel and virtual access starting at 6:30, and the floor open for audience Q&A at 7:30.
